Dr. Holmes, Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with a sub-specialty Certificate in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, specializes in orthopedic surgery and athletic medicine. This includes sports and occupational surgery.

Facilitating optimal care and recovery

Children of all ages engage in all kinds of activities, sports, work on the ranch, riding their bikes to school, etc. It is inevitable that a certain number will incur orthopedic injuries. The rising cost of healthcare and healthcare coverage has resulted in an increasing number of children at risk of not receiving optimal care.

Background

The how & the why

Dr. Peter Holmes began years ago stepping in and helping young people with sports injuries who could not afford complete care. Dr. Holmes was constantly contacted by families with children who have been injured primarily in school sports or other activities who could not get the proper orthopedic care due to lack of medical insurance. Thus the Orthopedic Kneed Foundation was formed.
